Our cast and forged hammers and wear plates for shredders and shears are available in a range of material grades. The most suitable grade depends on the type of material being processed in the installation. We supply hammers and blades with individual weights ranging from 5 to 400 kg.

Grades:

WH 190/240
Cr-Si-V alloyed special steel with a hardness of 360–550 HB, offering good toughness.
Applications: wear plates, hammers, armour plates

WH 60A
Ni-Cr-Mo-V alloyed special steel with a high nickel content (approx. 3%) and high carbon content, offering exceptionally high toughness at hardness levels of up to approx. 560 HB.
Applications: hammers, impact bars

WH 120
Austenitic manganese steel containing 12–14% manganese. Its distinctive characteristic is its ability to work-harden under high impact loads, increasing in hardness from approximately 200 to 500 HB.
